Not long now before our first of many trains! All the trains are booked except a couple of stragglers which are a few weeks away anyway.
Our route will start with the Eurostar to Brussels, then the same day going to Hamburg as our first city stop. Then Copenhagen, Stockholm, ferry across to Tallinn, down through the Baltics, Poland, Vienna, Budapest and finishing in Croatia. We’ll fly home 🙂.
We’ll spend 1 or 2 days in each city, so it will be quite intense and we’ll no doubt spend a lot of time washing the few clothes we’re taking…but I’m sure we’ll have a ton of (hopefully mainly positive!) experiences along the way.
Our kids (9YO and 7YO) will hopefully enjoy and contribute to the logistics, planning and recording of the adventure and it should inspire them to further adventures of their own in the future!
School broke up today, so we popped into Decathlon for some last minute sandals, fleeces and waterproofs – we definitely need to be ready for all weather!
