And we’re off!

The journey started in a fairly familiar way – we’re no strangers to taking the Eurostar, after all. Not a wonderfully auspicious beginning though, as the 0901 to Brussels was delayed by nearly 40 minutes.

I recall I had looked at, and discounted, a connection on to Germany that would have been tight anyway, so I’m glad we went with a less fraught option – we should still have nearly 90 minutes at Brussels Midi station before the next train. Not enough time to go to the Atelier des Artistes (I think it was called?) which sounds nice, but the Brasserie de la Gare is, I think, ok. Weirdly almost non-existent on the internet (you can find a restaurant of the same name, linked in places as if it’s at Brussels-Midi, but it is in fact miles away).

Arriving soon, so time to pack up for a brief Belgian sojourn!
