We invested in two rolly soft bags from Decathlon for the trip – they have straps that can be attached to carry them on your back, although we’re hoping that won’t be necessary! We have 12-13kg in each. The packing cubes have meant they haven’t been filled to bursting on departure, which is a good place to start! We each have a rucksack too for travel bits and bobs, primarily to keep the girls entertained.
The rolly bags have really quiet wheels, and just look less touristy than our boxy suitcases.
